2026 NATIONAL FINAL

BEDFORD INTERNATIONAL SPORTS ARENA, BEDFORD

SATURDAY 19^th & SUNDAY 20^th SEPTEMBER

The English Schools’ Combined Events National Championships retuned to Bedford this year after a three year hiatus. Lancashire had three athletes competing this year in the Junior Girls age category – Alice Dobson, Grace Byrom and Lydia Codarin. Esme Rutter, who had also qualified, was unable to compete.

No Lancashire athletes competed on the Saturday as the Junior Girls Pentathlon is a one day event on the Sunday. The weather on the day was mild with sunny intervals, and thankfully no rain!

All athletes performed well over the weekend, working hard, and achieving some new personal bests. The team finished in 7^th place overall.
